minutes<br><strong>Prerequisites:<\/strong> CCC-001 \u2013 Getting Started with the Calusa Cruise Club Website<br><strong>Document Owner:<\/strong> Website Administrator<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Purpose<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This article explains how to log into the Calusa Cruise Club website, log out safely, and manage your password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A valid login is required to access member-only information and any administrative features assigned to your account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before You Begin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will need:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your email address<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your password<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to the email account associated with your website account if you need to reset your password<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do not share your login information with another member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each person who needs access to the website should use their own account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Logging In<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To log into the website:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the Calusa Cruise Club website in your web browser (calusacruiseclub.com).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Member Login<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your email address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your password.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Log In<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a successful login, additional menu choices may become available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What Privileges<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Confirming That You Are Logged In<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After logging in, you may notice one or more of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A Members Only menu or page becomes available.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional navigation choices appear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A WordPress toolbar appears across the top of the screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your name or account information appears in the website menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Administrative users may gain access to the WordPress Dashboard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exact appearance depends on your account privileges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Logging Out<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Always log out when you have finished using the website on a shared or public computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To log out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select <strong>Member Login<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Log Out<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm that the website returns you to a public page or login screen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are using your own private computer, you may choose to remain logged in, but logging out is still recommended when you have finished administrative work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Forgotten Password<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you cannot remember your password:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select <strong>Member Login<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your email address associated with your account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press <strong>Forgot Password<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the email address is valid, you will receive an email with a temporary password.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use this temporary password when you log in<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The system will prompt you to enter a new permanent password<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create a new password.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Return to the website and log in using the new password.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you do not receive the message, check your Spam or Junk folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Choosing a Good Password<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use a password that is difficult for someone else to guess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A good password should:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be unique to the Calusa Cruise Club website<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be reasonably long<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contain a mixture of letters, numbers, and symbols<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid easily guessed personal information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not be reused from important accounts such as your email or banking login<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A password manager can make it easier to use strong, unique passwords.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Saving Passwords in Your Browser<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Modern browsers may offer to save your website password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This can be convenient when using your own computer or mobile device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do not allow a browser to save your password on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Public computers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Library computers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shared club computers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Devices used by people who should not have access to your account<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shared Accounts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do not share a username and password between several officers or committee members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, avoid creating a single account such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Webmaster<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and giving the password to several people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead, each authorized person should have their own account with the appropriate privileges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Individual accounts make the website more secure and make it easier to change access when club responsibilities change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Administrator Accounts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Administrator accounts have extensive control over the website and require additional care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have Administrator privileges:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Do not share your password.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use a strong, unique password.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not leave an administrative session open on a shared computer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log out when administrative work is complete.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contact the Website Administrator if you suspect someone else has accessed your account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Administrator access should be limited to users who genuinely require it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Account Changes When Officers Change<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When an officer or committee chair leaves a position, the account itself does not necessarily need to be deleted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead, the Website Administrator should review the privileges assigned to that person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Remove administrative privileges that are no longer needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the privileges required for a new position.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preserve normal member access when appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This allows the member to continue using the website while protecting administrative functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Common Problems<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>My username and password are not accepted.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check that Caps Lock is not turned on and try again carefully. If necessary, use the password-reset process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I requested a password reset but did not receive an email.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check your Spam or Junk folder. Also confirm that you are using the email address associated with your website account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I can log in, but I cannot see the Members Only area.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your account may not have the correct member privileges. Contact the Website Administrator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I can access the Members Only area but cannot see an administrative feature.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Administrative functions require additional privileges. Review <strong>CCC-002 \u2013 Understanding User Roles and Privileges<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I changed my password and now my old password no longer works.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is expected. Use the new password for future logins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I think someone else knows my password.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Change the password immediately and notify the Website Administrator, especially if the account has administrative privileges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expected Result<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p
